Broken Window Theory, and why nailing the details matter
Lee Frost fra Blank
In this discussion, we explore the importance of aesthetics in UX design.
From Vitruvius’s principles to Don Norman, we examine how research highlights that visually appealing designs can evoke positive emotions, reduce cognitive load, and boost user-trust. Drawing from the Broken Window Theory from the 1980s, we show how the effects of taking pride in the details can produce a positive effect.
